Maduro: The idea of invading Venezuela is insane

SANAA, Feb.5 (YPA) – Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro has considered US president Donald Trump’s idea of sending military forces to Venezuela as insane, stressing his country’s readiness to defend its territory and sovereignty against any foreign invasion.

Maduro said: “This is crazy… Trump talks about the twenty-first-century war. This is insane. He thinks he can send troops to this land that will defend itself. ”

He added that Trump’s statements and intention to send military forces are against international law.

He noted that Trump’s statement is illegal and criminal. Right-wing conspirators are standing against their homeland with him, demanding a military invasion of their homeland, and they are looking for damage to their homeland.

The Venezuelan people are a peaceful people, Maduro said adding “We love life and do not fear your threats, Trump. Venezuela has the right, it stands on the right side, and you have no reason to threaten peaceful people by using military force.”
