Update: Yemeni army takes control over military positions in Hajjah

HAJJAH, Feb. 4 (YPA) – The Yemen army on Monday carried out a large-scale attack on positions of Saudi-hired militants in Hajjah province, northern Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, the army forces attacked the positions of the militants in al-Housn Mountain of Hiran front, killing and injuring dozens of them.

The army forces were able to take control over several all the positions in the mountain, after inflicting massive losses on the Saudi-backed militants’ ranks the official Said.

The official indicated that the Saudi-led coalition warplanes have launched a series of intensive air raids on Hiran district to back its militants in their foiled attack without making any progress on the ground.
