SANAA, Feb. 4 (YPA) – The scientific conference “Yemen’s History between Past and Future Prospects” is to be held on Tuesday, February 5, in the capital Sanaa.
A group of academics, researchers, intellectuals and professors of history in various Yemeni universities will participate in the two-day conference, organized by Balqees Throne Foundation for Development, Tourism and Heritage in cooperation with Yemen Foundation for Culture and Political Development.
The conference aims to highlight the role of the Yemeni historian in documenting history, and rooting the values of honesty, objectivity and neutrality when writing history, according to Duaa al-Wasei, head of Balqees Throne Foundation.
Al-Wasei added that the conference seeks to clarify the role of public and private libraries in the preservation of historical documents and manuscripts in accordance with standards and criteria of electronic archiving.
She noted that the conference would deal with a number of working papers submitted by specialists, researchers and academics.
