Saudi occupation engulfs eastern province of Yemen
MAHRAH, Jan. 16 (YPA) – In a smooth manner like the Zionist settlers policy in the occupied territories, the Saudi occupation forces are pursuing a policy that is very similar to the Israeli military policies, which is accompanied by media campaigns under various names, including humanity.
The Saudi occupation project in Mahrah province is an extension of old ambition. The Saudi regime did not believe that it got the military influence over Mahrah and presented it on a plate of gold on the pretext of supporting the so-called “legitimacy” of Hadi in Yemen.
Saudi documents marked as a “very secret” status issued by the Ministry of Interior “border guards” and from the Saudi royal court, confirms to those who justify the presence of Saudi in Mahrah, and claims the stupidity that “Saudi” came for sake of the sons of the province.
Documents further reveals that Saudi Arabia will not abandon Mahrah province, even if it costs to exterminate third of populations of the province to implement its economic project which aimed at finding a sea outlet to export oil from “Khar khair” area through the land of Mahrah to the port of “Nashton” on the Arab sea, after the failure of its previous attempts with the Sultanate of Oman.
Saudi Arabia has been living a great concern considering that its maritime control is limited to the Gulf and the Red Sea that are easy to close.
According to the document issued, Saudi Arabia found a real opportunity to meet its economic ambitions and expand its control over the open seas of finding an outlet to the Arabian Sea south and east of Yemen, by claiming the war against Yemen under multiple pretexts on 26 March 2015, as well as fleeing from the Iranian threat to close the Strait of Bab “Hormuz” in front of Gulf oil tankers.
The Saudi occupation forces, through the exiled Hadi’s Mahrah governor appointed by the Saudi ambassador in Aden Mohammed al-Jaber, on November 27, 2017, managed to lead the province during the period to the unknown, by financing and attracting many tribal elders and giving them financial and in-kind privileges, including arming them and establishing of militias affiliated to the occupation forces.
The Saudi occupation was able to divide in Mahrah community which rejects the project to extend its oil pipeline through the land of Mahrah, which is considered by the angry popular protests as a violation of Yemeni sovereignty.
Amid the silence of the exiled Hadi’s government that turn a blind eye to what is happening in Maharah , which has got paid in advance for its stay in Riyadh, amid sharing and exchanging Saudi interests in the southern provinces?
A formr member of Yemeni parliamentarian Ali Salem Bakrit,has revealed information about the Saudi arming of some of the elders of Mahrah tribes, shed light on the strife and imminent fighting will pay the people of the province dearly in their blood between achieving the Saudi project and the fighting by proxy, against the anti-Saudi presence in the province.
The Saudi occupation initiated the development of camps in many areas under the pretext of combating drug trafficking, but the truth is the advance protection in the areas through which the Saudi pipeline will pass, because it is well aware that laying the pipe before securing it will be a completely unsuccessful operation.
But the occupation’s control over the land outlets of the shahin, Sarifat international shipping ports and Ghadah International Airport and turning it into a Saudi military base sparked outrage protests in the province that ended with the so-called “Mahrah agreement” in mid-July, between the protesters and the coalition leadership, to hand over all maritime and air outlets to the Yemeni army and security services. However, the agreement has not been implemented, but the Saudi forces have worked to strengthen their presence in the province and have taken control of many important facilities.
