New material in warplanes to increase concealment
SANAA, Jan. 15 (YPA) – Russian engineers have developed a new material that will increase the concealment of the S-57s of the fifth generation and the “Tu-160” strategy developed warplanes from radars.
The new material, which will cover the aircraft’s cockpit, will increase its ability to absorb radar waves to twice as much, increasing the aircraft’s concealment of hostile radars by 30 percent, as well as protecting the pilot from the impact of UV, thermal and other harmful negative factors.
Sergey Abramov, head of the Department of Weapons and Ammunition, announced earlier that the use of the special protective cover in the warplanes, “Su-57″ of the fifth generation and ” newly developed Tu-160s, allowed to reduce the weight of glass cockpit by half.
