UAE-backed forces’ commander in Dalea resigns

DALEA, March 18 (YPA) – Commander of the so-called security belt forces backed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Dalea province, Abdulkarim al-Shuaibi, announced on Sunday his resignation of his post.

The move came after sharp differences between al-Shuabi and director of security in Aden province, Shallal Shaea, after the latter tried to impose military commanders within areas where security forces to be deployed in the province.

Al-Shuaibi’s resignation was a surprise to all, before the deployment of the security belt forces on Monday in the province, according to local officials.
