HODEIDAH, Dec. 23 (YPA) – Violent clashes broke out on Sunday evening between the Yemeni army forces and armed militias loyal to Saudi-led coalition in the east of the city of Hodeidah.
Field sources said that the confrontations widened to the vicinity of Al-Saleh City in the east of Hodeidah when the forces loyal to the United Arab Emirates tried to progress and create new ramparts using a military bulldozer.
This escalation coincided with the arrival of the UN team led by General Patrick Cammaert with members of the committee representing the salvation government in the city of Hodeidah.
On Saturday, the city witnessed many violations of the ceasefire by the coalition militias in an attempt to foil Sweden agreements.
