Coalition’s attacks force families to flee Hais villages despite of cease-fire

HODEIDAH, Dec. 23 (YPA) – Continuing attacks by the Saudi-led coalition south of Hodeidah port city for the sixth day after the cease-fire went into force have forced  dozens of families to flee their homes, residents and local officials said on Sunday.

The coalition artillery shelling hit several villages in Hais district south of the port city in attempts to advance.

A military source said the coalition attempted to improve its military positions exploiting the cease-fire.

Earlier on the day, a United Nations monitoring team arrived in Hodeidah to oversee the truce.
