SANAA, Dec. 22 (YPA) – Boeing, US company, has signed a deal deals worth an overall $9.3 billion to sell 30 to Saudi carrier Flyadeal and 50 jets to Nigeria’s Green Air.
Under the agreement, Saudi and Nigerian companies will purchase the 737-meter single-aisle aircraft.
Boeing said in a statement that “while Flyadeal is operating new Airbus A320s, the company says it has chosen for the future 737 Max aircraft.”
Boeing has been supplying Saudi Arabian Airlines since 1945 and its DC3 aircraft have helped launch the commercial air transport sector in the kingdom, Boeing said.
Fly Air International is a subsidiary of the General Organization of Saudi Airlines, and domestic flights in the Kingdom.
“The demand for air transport services in the local market in the Kingdom is growing steadily and the company is looking to expand its destinations in the future to cover markets outside Saudi Arabia,” said Saleh Bin Nasser Al Jasser, General Manager of Saudi Airlines.
