Update: Army repels large-scale attack of Saudi-backed militants in Asir

ASIR, Dec. 16 (YPA) – The Yemen army on Sunday repelled a large-scale attack of coalition-backed militias in Asir border province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The attack was backed by air cover of Apache helicopters, spy drones and warplanes, which launched several strikes to support the militias without achieving any progress in the west of Alb border crossing.

Furthermore, artillery force of the army shelled gatherings of the militias and destroyed a military vehicle by an explosive device during repelling their attack, killing and injuring dozens, added the official.
