SANAA, Dec. 13 (YPA) – At least four people were killed and over 43 others were injured after a high-speed train crashes in the capital Ankara, local Turkish media reported on Thursday.
A high-speed train has crashed into an overpass in Ankara and two carriages have toppled over, and casualties have been reported, according to the CNN Turk Channel.
Video footage showed emergency workers at the scene, where carriages were trapped beneath the mangled metal wreckage of an overpass.
The Channel indicated that train was traveling between the capital, Ankara, and the central Turkish province of Konya
Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin told reporters that four people had died and 43 injured in the crash, and all rescue teams are working in the area.
Investigations of the incident are under way, he added.
