Army attacks coalition militias’ positions in Hodeidah

HODEIDAH, Dec. 7 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Friday launched an attack on sites of militias loyal to Saudi-led coalition in the western coast front of Hodeidah province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The attack, which lasted for hours, targeted the militias’ positions in al-Jabalyah area with artillery shells, and resulted in several dead and wounded in their ranks, according to the official.

On Thursday, the army forces attacked sites of the coalition militias in north of al-Durihemi district, while the air defenses downed a reconnaissance aircraft of the coalition in Kilo 16 area in the western coast front.

Meanwhile, several of the coalition militiamen were killed and others wounded in an attack carried out by the army against their sites in al-Wazeyah junction.
