Abu Abbas’s militias kill soldier in West Taiz

TAIZ, Nov. 28 (YPA) – A soldier belonging to  17th Brigade backed by Saudi-led Coalition was killed on Wednesday by  Salafist leader Abu Abbas’s militias in Taiz province, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the sources, one of the recruits of the 17th Brigade loyal to the coalition in Mokha front “Saddam Mohammad Saddam” was killed in a military checkpoint belonging to the elements of the Salafist leader Abu al-Abbas while he was returning to his home

He was asked to surrender and handed over his personal weapon in al-Berian area west of Taiz City, so he told them that he is a member in the 17th Brigade, returning from Mokha front.

However, the members of the point insisted on handing over the weapon and exchanging gunfire has reportedly broken out, killing the soldier, and confiscating his weapon.

It is worthy to say that the military point of Abu Abbas Brigades is among the random points, located on the road linked Taiz city and al-Turbah district.
