Human rights orgs reject Bin Salman’s visit to London

SANAA, March 6 (YPA) – There is a strong popular movement in Britain against the upcoming visit of Saudi Crown prince Mohammed bin Salman to London, Director of UK-based Human Rights Organization, Um Kolthom Baalawi, said on Tuesday.
Several human rights organizations have announced their rejection of bin Salman’s visit to Britain, accusing him of committing war crimes against humanity in Yemen, Baalawi said in a statement to Yemen Press Agency.
Among those organizations are the Stop the War Coalition, the Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT), Bahrain Institute for Rights and Democracy (BIRD), the Arab Organization for Human Rights and the Human Rights Organization of Yemen.
Baalawi revealed that a press conference will be held on Wednesday – with wide participation of parliamentarians and senior journalists – in order to clarify the position of rejecting organizations.
In this regard, a protest will be held on Wednesday in front of the home of British Prime Minister Theresa May on the eve of the upcoming visit of “bin Salman”, she added.
