Military commander survives assassination attempt in Aden

ADEN, March 4 (YPA) –  A Yemeni military commander survived an assassination attempt on Sunday after coming under fire by a group of unidentified gunmen in Yemen’s southern province of Aden, a security official told Yemen Press Agency.

Unknown gunmen on a car shot at Abdulmajeed Mohammed Hassan, a commander in the so-called the 1st Infantry Brigade, in the road linking between Tawahi and Malla districts in west of Aden city, according to the official.

The official added that this assassination attempt is the second, after Hassan survived an assassination attempt early last month in the road adjacent to the oil company in Malla district, noting that he had been seriously injured.
