Shura Council calls for condemning sanctions’ extension on Yemen
Yemen calls Arab, Africa world to condemn UN sanctions
SANAA, Feb. 28 (YPA) – The Yemeni Shura Council on Wednesday called on its counterparts in Africa and Arab world to condemn the UN Security Council’s resolution passed on Monday, which extended the sanctions on Yemen an additional year.
This came in a letter send by Acting Speaker of the Shura Council, Mohamed Hussein Al-Aidarous, to the Association of Senates and Shura, and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World.
The letter said that the decision to continue the sanctions will encourage the coalition countries to commit more crimes against the Yemeni people, who suffer from an all-out blockade that caused the worst humanitarian disaster in the world.
