Cabinet approves establishment of Mahara Reconstruction Fund
SANAA, Oct. 24 (YPA) – The Cabinet approved on Wednesday the establishment of Mahara province reconstruction fund in accordance with the directives of the Supreme Political Council Head, Mehdi Mashat.
The Cabinet formed a committee headed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and the membership of the Ministers of Local Administration, Planning, International Cooperation, Legal Affairs, Human Rights and the State for the outputs of the Dialogue and National Reconciliation, as well as the governorates of Hadramout and Mahra, to identify sources of funding, taking into account the public effort to contribute supporting Mahara people and reconstruction what the hurricane left behind.
The Cabinet approved the allocation of 200 million riyals from the government in favor of the fund.
The Cabinet denounced the military developments of the Saudi forces in the province of Mahra in order to extend the oil transport pipeline, carrying any party who signs with the occupier on this side the legal and historical responsibility for this disgraceful act.
The Cabinet stressed that the government of the Republic of Yemen from the capital Sana’a considers any action or agreement regarding the pipe void, as if it was not, adding that anyone who will participate in this unprecedented violation internationally will be prosecuted internationally, including suing the Saudi regime.
