Prime Minister discusses economic issues

SANAA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – Prime Minister, Abdul Aziz Saleh Bin Habtour, on Tuesday  met with the Advisor of the Supreme Political Council , Abdulaziz Al-Turb.

During the meeting, the officials discussed the main economic issues in the light of the suffocating economic siege and its impact on citizens and their daily life and service, as well as the challenges and obstacles caused by the aggression to prevent the entry of tankers and vessels carrying oil derivatives, domestic gas and other necessary supplies for citizens in the capital and other provinces.

The meeting tackled the mechanisms to reduce the challenges resulting from the siege on the economic sector in various ways and to alleviate the direct effects that affected the majority of the Yemeni people.

Prime Minister noted the great economic experience possessed by al-Turb and his efforts in the search for appropriate treatment of the economic situation in cooperation with various government agencies.

The meeting, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al-Ali, dealt with the difficulties faced by the tourism sector and its affiliates due to the effects of the aggression and the Saudi-UAE siege on all economic sectors, In addition to the existing efforts to safeguard tourism installations and sites and protect it from the acts of disfigurement carried out by some traitors who are making distortionary changes to a number of these sites.

The Prime minister called on the ministry to strengthen its efforts to serve the community, to ensure the eligibility of tourism places and sites and protect and provide it with basic services and to ensure continuous control on the quality of the services provided by the owners of tourism facilities for its visitors.

Bin Habtour also directed the Ministry to work on developing an implementation plan for the Tourism Promotion Fund for the coming period.
