Saudi authority arrests Brigadier General Mujali, puts some other officials under security monitoring

SANAA, Oct. 9 (YPA) – Saudi authorities arrested the brother of the exiled Hadi’s Agriculture minister, Brigadier General Yasser Mujali for his involvement in drug trafficking, a diplomatic official at the Yemeni embassy in Riyadh revealed on Monday.

The official confirmed that Brigadier General Yasser Mujali , the brother of Hadi’s Agriculture minister in Aden, was detained  by the Saudi authorities for smuggling large quantities of hashish and drugs, taking advantage of his position as a Pro-Saudi  commander in the war against Yemen.

He runs a large network of drug smugglers from Marib, Aden, Shabowa and Hadramawt “, which is being offered all the facilities through his extensive relationship with officers of the Coalition armed forces loyal to Hadi in many areas,” the official  Said.

The official added that the Minister of Agriculture Hadi ” Othman Mujali” tried to release him, but the Saudi authorities still have doubts about the Minister Himself.

The Saudi authorities have put a number of mercenaries, including military and tribal leaders and officials under security monitoring, for suspecting that they were involved in drug trafficking across the southern border of Saudi Arabia, exploiting its influence and relationship with the Saudi forces.
