demonstration against poor economic situation paralyzes Taiz

TAIZ, Oct.2 (YPA) – Dozens of citizens took to the streets on Tuesday in Taiz province, controlled by Saudi-backed militia, to protest the poor living conditions and high prices.

“Angry demonstrators shut down some shops in Jamal Street in central of the city and cut off several other streets during the demonstration,” eyewitnesses said.

In the demonstration, the participants chanted slogans and raised banners denouncing the economic policies of the exiled Hadi’s government, and accused the government and Saudi-led coalition of starving the Yemeni people.
