SANAA, Sept. 30 (YPA) – The death toll from the Indonesia earthquake and tsunami topped to 832, Indonesian emergency department reported on Sunday.
Many people were trapped amid the rubble of the ruins of the 7.5-magnitude quake and the six-meter-high tsunami, Indonesian Disaster Management Agency spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said.
The Indonesian city of Palu was hit by a powerful earthquake that caused great devastation and pushed many residents out of their homes.
In July and August, a series of earthquakes killed some 500 people on the tourist island of island of Lombok, southwest of Sulawesi.
