Yemeni politician survives from assassination attempt in Taiz

TAIZ. Sept. 24 (YPA) – A Yemeni politician on Monday survived from an assassination attempt by unknown militants in Taiz province, a Yemen Press Agency correspond reported.

The militants on a motorbike opened fire towards a politician, Ali al-Qadhai, who belongs to Saudi Arabia-backed Islamic Islah Party (Muslim Brotherhood).

Taiz has seen widespread security disorder and assassination attempts targeting soldiers, politicians and religious men since the beginning of the coalition to intervene in the southern provinces.
