Paris rewards French fighters from Algerian origin during “French imperialism period” in Algeria

SANAA, Sept 22 (YPA) – French President Emanuel Macron decided on by decree published in the Official Gazette on Friday to promote six former “activists” who fought among the ranks of the France in Algeria during the imperialism period and theirs “association” to the rank of knight of honor considered the highest honor granted by the French state.

Four other according the decree will be promoted to the rank of officers and 15 to the rank of knight, most of whom were representatives of associations or bodies.

The reward came few days before the National Day for the “Activists” which will fall on the 25th September.

France after liberation war in Algeria received environ 60 thousands Algerians recruiters after peace deal signing with Algeria but it abandoned nearly 75 thousands others according to historians, and the lasts were suffered from the revenge operations of the Nationalists who were considered as mercenaries.
