Yemeni army sends military reinforcements to western coast

WESTERN COAST, Sept. 19 (YPA) – Huge military reinforcements on Wednesday arrived to Yemen’s Red Sea Port City of Hodeidah, to support the Yemeni army and popular committees in the West Coast front, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

“The reinforcements include more than 300 of the fiercest fighters from Yemeni tribes who have confirmed their readiness to confront any military escalation of the coalition-backed militants in the west coast front,” the official added.

According to the sources, “the reinforcements include specialized units, with high combat capabilities, who have already participated and fought alongside the Yemeni army forces on various fronts.”

He confirmed that the  fighters had contributed to the recent victories in Nihem front, the eastern part Sanaa province.”

Earlier, the Yemeni army sent massive reinforcements to Hodeidah city on Tuesday, a day after military reinforcements of coalition-backed militants reached the surroundings areas of Kilo 16 district the southeastern of the city in a bid to make any progress on the ground.
