ADEN, Sep. 11 (YPA) – The prisoners of Bir Ahmed jail, supervised by UAE forces, announced that they were entering a hunger strike to protest the continued ill-treatment and torture from the interrogators and soldiers of the United Arab Emirates and their militiamen .

Local sources said, the detainees in the prison of Bir Ahmed in Aden continue their hunger strike for the third day to take over in protest against the abuse and the refusal of the UAE supervisor to release them despite the approval of the Attorney General to release them.

The sources pointed out that this strike comes after the suicide of one of the detainees, who ended his life by overdose medication because of the refusal of the UAE supervisor to release him after the directives of the Attorney General in the authority of exiled  Hadi in Aden, pointing to the failure of three suicide attempts, after this case, for the same reasons.
