TEHRAN, Aug. 25 (YPA) – Iran “strongly” condemned the Israeli military aggression on Yemen, describing it as “war crimes and crimes against humanity.”
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei on Sunday said that his country condemns the Israeli airstrikes that targeted infrastructure and a power plant in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa.
Baghaei expressed his condolences for the martyrdom of a number of Yemenis and wished a speedy recovery for the injured. He also considered the repeated Israeli attacks on Yemen evidence of the “Zionist entity’s” hostility to the development and prosperity of the countries of the region.
In a related context, the Iranian spokesman emphasized the legal and moral responsibility of Islamic countries to take urgent action to confront the “genocide and war crimes” committed by the “Israeli enemy” in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
