Army repels infiltration of militiamen in Hajjah

HAJJAH, Sep. 4 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Tuesday repelled an infiltration attempt of the Saudi-backed militiamen in Hajjah province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

Dozens of the militiamen were killed and injured during their attempt to advance towards Tewal customs of Haradh district, the official confirmed.

Meanwhile, the artillery forces shelled gatherings of the Saudi army and its militia off Alib border crossing, causing direct casualties.

The official added that the US-backed Saudi-led coalition warplanes waged air strikes to back its militiamen but without making any progress on the ground.
