Father kills his daughter after breaking her hand in Sanaa

SANAA, Aug. 26 (YPA) – A girl (Asilah al-Nahmi), who was not more than eight years old, died after being severely beaten by her father (Mehdi Nahmi) in the village of Daria in Bani-Mater district of Sanaa province.
Eyewitnesses told Yemen Press Agency that the girl was brutally beaten by her father at 10am on the morning of August 25, breaking her hands and bruises in her head, and one of the volunteers

gave her an ambulance but the death was closer to them so her Life is over.
The witnesses added the villagers heard the scream of the girl before her voice suddenly disappeared, but they did not know what is going on inside the home of Mehdi al-Nahmi, but they later discovered that Mahdi had beaten her and broken limbs before losing the child her consciousness, Young people take her and try to save her life.
The security of Bani Matar district has arrested the father and deposited in the prison, until the criminal investigation in Sanaa fate after the medical examination .

Medical reports from Qadis hospital- where the body of Asilah –said due to severely beaten the girl lost her life .
Many Yemeni women activists demanded that her father must be tried for the necessary punishment, and asked the lawyer, who volunteered to follow up on the Asilah case, to protect children from violence in general and domestic violence in particular. General and then Court, where the issue of the girl still needs an order from the Attorney General to be brought to the Public Prosecution and then the Court.

It is noteworthy that this phenomenon has spread widely in Yemen recently, with the deteriorating economic conditions of many families because of the war, siege and the continued collapse of the local currency.
