People protest against Saudi occupation forces in Mahrah

MAHRAH, Aug. 22 (YPA) –  Thousands of people took to the streets of Sihot district in Yemen’s Maharah province protesting against the establishment of four separate military positions inside the province by the Saudi occupation forces,  local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the activists, the move came after two weeks when the sheikhs and the dignitaries of the district refused to establish these military sites, which the local authority allowed them to set up.

The sources said negotiations are under way between the people of Sihut district and the local authority close to the Saudi occupation forces, but no agreement has been reached so far.”
