Loyalty to al-Sammad shall be through state-building project completion: Revolutionary Committee Chief

SANAA, Aug. 16 (YPA) – Chief of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohammed al-Houthi, on Thursday said loyalty to the martyr Saleh al-Sammad should be through the completion of the state-building project in parallel with the fight against the Saudi-led coalition.

In a statement on the occasion of two years after the peaceful transfer of power, al-Houthi said that loyalty to the soul of the martyr al-Sammad is also through doing the best efforts in activating the state institutions to serve the interests of the people.

The Supreme Revolutionary Committee handed over the power functions to the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa on 15 August, 2016.

Al-Houthi pointed to the Yemeni legendary steadfastness in “the face of military and economic escalation of the US-Saudi-Emirati-Israeli aggression during the two years.”

In the statement, al-Houthi thanked the Yemeni army for its great efforts in confronting “the invaders and the occupiers.”

He called on the Supreme Political Council and the Salvation Government to continue providing all logistical and moral support to all members of the armed forces and security in” the holy defense battle.”

Al-Houthi held Saudi Arabia, the US, Britain and their allies responsible for destroying “the financial side of Yemen” and the killing of civilians.

He reiterated that “presenting of peace initiatives aimed to spare the Yemeni blood and mitigate the suffering of the people due to the siege and aggression.”

In this regard, al-Houthi called on the international community and human rights organizations to condemn the horrific crimes committed by the coalition against the Yemeni people, and to pressure for stopping the war and lifting the siege.
