Deputy PM calls for formation of int’l committee to investigate Dhahyan crime

SANAA, Aug. 13 (YPA) – Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minster, Dr. Hussein Maqboli, on Monday called for the United Nations to form an international neutral committee to investigate Dhahyan crime and other crimes committed by Saudi-led coalition against Yemeni people.

Dr. Maqboli discussed during his meeting with the UN Resident Representative and Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator in Yemen, Lise Grande, the situation of the displaced people from Hodeidah province and the mechanism of distributing the humanitarian aid provided by the World Food Program.

The deputy prime minister confirmed the government’s readiness to facilitate all difficulties facing the UN organizations operating in the humanitarian and relief field in Yemen.

He denounced the call by Britain Representative in the UN Security Council for Saudi Arabia, which leads the coalition, to investigate the Dhahyan crime.

The UN coordinator reiterated that the Dhahyan crime is a horrific thing and unacceptable. “We condemn such acts against childhood.”
