Axios: US military told to prepare for resumption of attacks against Iran

WASHINGTON, Oct. 08 (YPA) – Axios revealed that US President Donald Trump is assessing the timing of possible attacks on Iran, while the Pentagon has ordered Central Command to finalize preparations.

The website explained that the orders did not specify a date for the attack, but US and Israeli sources suggested it would occur before the US midterm elections on November 3 and the Israeli elections on October 27.

The sources indicated that the attacks could target Iranian energy infrastructure and nuclear sites.

A White House official said that Washington is in a strong position regarding the Strait of Hormuz and that the Iranian economy is collapsing, stressing that Trump retains all the cards.
