ABUJA, Oct. 05 (YPA) – Nigerian authorities announced that a military plane carrying 25 passengers and a crew of 7 crashed on Monday in the south of the country, with a search and rescue operation launched and no reports of injuries so far.
Aviation Minister Festus Kiamu said the ATR-42 was on a routine mission to Lagos and disappeared from radar around 9:00 AM, before it was determined that it had crashed in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State, halfway through its flight from Edo State to Lagos.
