Aoun: No new negotiations with “Israel” at present

BEIRUT, Sept. 12 (YPA) – Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said Saturday that Lebanon is not engaged in any new negotiations with “Israel,” stressing that the Israeli occupation must withdraw, prisoners and displaced people must return, and reconstruction must begin.

Speaking during a visit to Nabatieh, Aoun said the visit was aimed at assessing residents’ needs and listening to their concerns.

He stressed that the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the return of prisoners and displaced people, and reconstruction remain national principles that Lebanon is committed to upholding.
