Sanaa forces: Our missiles intercepted Saudi combat aircraft in Taiz, forced it to retreat
SANAA, Sept. 10 (YPA) – Sanaa-affiliated Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Sarie announced Thursday that air defenses intercepted a Saudi combat aviation formation in Taiz Governorate.
In a brief statement, Brigadier General Sarie explained that the air defense operation targeted the Saudi aircraft using several locally manufactured surface-to-air missiles.
Sarie noted that Saudi aircraft launched 64 airstrikes across Yemen over the past 24 hours, targeting Taiz, Hodeida, Marib, and Jawf governorates using F-15 and Typhoon fighter jets launched from King Fahd Air Base in Taif and King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait.
