Hezbollah denies links to security cell accused of destabilizing Lebanon, Syria

BEIRUT, Sept. 03 (YPA) – Hezbollah’s Media Relations Office has categorically denied reports linking the party to a “security cell” allegedly being arrested over claims that it “sought to undermine security in #Lebanon and #Syria.”

In a statement, the office stressed that Hezbollah has “no connection whatsoever, neither direct nor indirect, to any such cell or group,” describing the allegations as “entirely baseless in every respect.”

It also “affirmed that attempts by certain media outlets to drag Hezbollah’s name into such security issues and attribute these allegations to anonymous sources are part of a campaign of disinformation, an attempt to tarnish the party’s image, and a malicious effort to stir up strife and undermine the country’s security and stability.”
