GAZA, Aug. 24 (YPA) – Hamas leader Mahmoud Mardawi warned of escalating settlers’ attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied city of Al-Quds, citing demolitions of homes and agricultural and industrial facilities in the Jordan Valley, as well as the burning of a factory north of Ramallah.
In a statement, Mardawi said the attacks reflected the organized terrorism by Zionist settlers’ militias under the protection of the Israeli occupation’s government, stressing that such actions would not succeed in forcibly displacing Palestinians or emptying their land through killing, arson and intimidation.
He held Israeli occupation responsible for the consequences of the escalation and called on the international community to break its silence, while urging Palestinians in targeted communities to strengthen solidarity and resilience and confront settlers’ attacks.
