Clashes break out between UAE-backed militias, unknown gunmen in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 9 (YPA) – Clashes broke out on Thursday between UAE-backed militiamen and unknown gunmen in the Yemeni southern city of Aden, a security official said.

The clashes took place suddenly in the neighborhood of Ghazi Alwan in Khourmaksar district between a military pick-up of the militiamen of the so-called “Security belt” and the gunmen coming from the coast stripe linking Aden and Abyan province.

Aden city witnesses security chaos since the UAE forces occupied the city in 2015.
