CAIRO, Aug. 17 (YPA) – Hamas Movement declared on Sunday that a delegation led by Khalil Al-Hayya met in Egypt with mediators and guarantors of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
In a statement, the movement said it had agreed to the roadmap for the second phase of the US president’s plan, citing the interests of the Palestinian people and its commitment to achieving a permanent ceasefire, the complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, and the start of work by the administrative committee.
Hamas also reaffirmed its full commitment to implementing the first phase of the agreement, while condemning Israel’s failure to comply with its terms.
The movement called on the mediators and the Peace Council to assume their responsibilities and compel Israeli occupation to fulfill its commitments and end its ongoing violations.
