Saudi Arabia bars Sheikh Amr bin Habrish’s family from leaving Jeddah

JEEDAH, Aug. 17 (YPA) – Saudi authorities have barred the family of prominent Yemeni tribal leader Sheikh Sheikh Amr bin Habrish Al-Aliyi—including his wife and children—from departing Jeddah International Airport and turned them back, media sources reported.

According to Al-Youm Al-Thamin newspaper, the family was scheduled to fly to Al-Rayyan Airport in Hadramout province aboard a Yemenia Airways flight from Jeddah.

The move comes weeks after Saudi authorities arrested Sheikh Bin Habrish last month while he was attempting to enter Yemen through the Al-Wadeeah border crossing.
