Iran urges Qatar to allow probe into fate of three missing pilots

TEHRAN, Aug. 16 (YPA) – Iran has called on Qatar to allow a team of Iranian experts to conduct a field investigation into the fate of three pilots who were captured during an attack on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar in early March.

In a statement, Brigadier General Mohammad Bagherzadeh, head of Iran’s Armed Forces Committee for the Search for Missing Persons, said Doha should allow the Iranian team to enter Qatar, accusing the country of delaying the matter.

He also called on the International Committee of the Red Cross to follow up on the case.
