Sanaa begins disbursing May 2026 state employee salaries

SANAA, Aug. 16 (YPA) – Yemen’s Sana-based Central Bank declared on Sunday that it will begin disbursing the May 2026 salaries of employees of state administrative units, as part of a temporary exceptional mechanism to support the government payroll.

According to a bank statement, salary payments will begin on Monday, August 17, 2026, through the Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank (CAC Bank) and the General Post and Postal Savings Authority.
