Leaked documents reveal multi-billion dollar Israeli military deals with UAE

OCCUPIED QUDS, Aug. 03 (YPA) – Leaked internal documents from Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest arms manufacturer, have revealed extensive military cooperation between “Israel” and the United Arab Emirates, including multi-billion-dollar drone and air defense deals, according to a report published by Haaretz.

The documents surfaced after Iran-backed hacker group Handala recently published the documents after apparently stealing them from the private Gmail account of at least one Elbit official who had failed to use a secure company account in email chains with colleagues.

According to the leaked documents, the UAE submitted an urgent request to purchase six Hermes 900 unmanned aerial vehicles, known in the Israeli military as the “Kochav.” The procurement plan reportedly includes the option to expand the acquisition to 45 drones organized into 15 integrated systems, with an estimated value of $1.3 billion.

Amid escalating tensions involving the US and Iran, “Israel” supplied the UAE with advanced defense systems, including the Iron Dome and the “Magen Or” (Iron Beam) laser system, which helped intercept roughly 3,000 missiles and drones launched by Iran, according to the leaked document.

In addition to the drone deal, the documents reveal another armaments initiative, codenamed “Jasmine 3,” which entails producing 6,000 guided bomb kits in just three months. This tight timeline points to urgent operational requirements and an increasing demand for precision-guided munitions under current security conditions.

Responding to the report, Elbit Systems said it does not comment on confidential commercial information relating to its customers and maintained that the leaked documents do not accurately reflect the company’s business activities. However, the company did not deny commercial cooperation with the UAE, leaving open questions regarding the nature and scope of these relations.
