Aden security issues 72-hour notice over imminent famine threatening hundreds of inmates, recruits

ADEN, July 31 (YPA) – The Supply and Logistics Department of the Aden Security Department loyal to Saudi Arabia has warned of an imminent famine threatening approximately 1,400 inmates and hundreds of recruits due to the continued suspension of food and operational allocations.

The security department granted a 72-hour grace period to address the crisis before a complete halt of food supplies.

According to a document addressed by the department to senior official Abdul Rahman al-Mahrami, the supply sector has not received its approved allocations since last March.

The document highlighted the accumulation of substantial debts leading to the suspension of financial disbursements, demanding equal treatment with other factions.

This comes amid field tensions and public anger in areas controlled by Riyadh in response to deteriorating public services and severe economic hardship.
