SANAA, July 29 (YPA) – Gold prices in Yemen continued to show instability on Wednesday, recording a new decline in Sanaa’s jewelry markets while remaining stable in Aden over the past 48 hours.
In markets under the Sanaa government, the price of a gold sovereign fell to 494,000 Yemeni Rials, while 21-karat gold dropped to 63,500 Rials per gram. This represents a 24-hour decline of 6,000 Rials for the sovereign and 500 Rials per gram.
Gold prices in Sanaa experienced volatility throughout June, closing the month at 503,000 Rials for the sovereign and 64,300 Rials per gram.
Meanwhile, in areas under the Aden government, gold prices held steady over the last 48 hours, with the gold sovereign priced at 1,455,500 Rials and 21-karat gold at 193,000 Rials per gram.
Aden markets also witnessed price fluctuations in June, ending the month at 1,476,000 Rials per sovereign and 193,000 Rials per gram.
