Sanaa Foreign Ministry: Trump’s remarks prove his complicity in the continuation of Yemen blockade

SANA’A, July 24(YPA) –Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, said US President Donald Trump’s remarks regarding Yemen’s demand for an end to the Saudi blockade prove his complicity in the crime of continuing the blockade imposed on the country.

“If criminal Trump wants to repeat his failed experience in Yemen, the Yemeni Armed Forces are ready,” Abu Ras said in a statement to the media, warning that any new escalation would have consequences.

Abu Ras reaffirmed that Yemen’s position toward the Saudi regime is based on the equation of “siege for siege,” warning that Whoever wants to entangle himself with the Saudi enemy will pay a heavy price for his wrong decision.

He added that Yemen’s positions are based on legitimate rights guaranteed by international laws and charters, asserting that no legal framework justifies depriving Yemen of these rights — except “the law of the jungle.”

Abu Ras stressed that the only way out for the Saudi enemy is to lift the siege on Yemen, in order to avoid further escalation, stressing that this equation remains firm and is not subject to negotiation or compromise.

He called all countries of the world to oblige their companies to avoid Saudi ports until further notice.
