Palestinian young man killed by Israeli occupation forces fire east of Jenin

TUBAS, July 23 (YPA) – The young Palestinian man, Yazan Fakhri Sawafteh (25 years old), from Tubas, was martyred on Thursday evening, by Israeli occupation army fire near Haddad roundabout, east of Jenin.

The Wafa News Agency quoted the Palestinian Ministry of Health as saying that the martyr fell after occupation soldiers shot him and seized his body.

The occupation forces had tightened their procedures in the area, closed Haddad roundabout, and deployed reinforcements to the vicinity of Haddad camp and the bypass road, amidst a heavy deployment of vehicles that obstructed the movement of citizens, while the occupation claimed that one of its soldiers was lightly wounded in a stabbing operation near the camp.

Later, occupation forces stormed the city of Tubas with a number of patrols and raided the home of the martyr Sawafteh’s family.
