Al-Qassam Brigades announce death of commander Abu Rateb Nesman, his family in Gaz

GAZA, July 18 (YPA) – The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced Saturday the death of commander Abu Rateb Nesman and members of his family following an Israeli airstrike targeting the Al-Nasr neighborhood in the Gaza Strip.

In a brief statement released on its official Telegram channel, the Brigades’ military media confirmed “The martyrdom of al-Qassam Brigades commander Abu Rateb Nesman and his family in a targeting of the Al-Nasr neighborhood this evening.”

Palestinian media outlets had previously reported on Saturday that five Palestinians, including three children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike that struck a residential apartment opposite the Suwaidi Al-Nasr area, located west of Gaza City.

The incident occurs amid ongoing reports of Israeli occupation violations following a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, which officially took effect on October 10.
