Washington approves sale of drones to Greece for $80 million

WASHINGTON, July 18 (YPA) – United States has announced its approval of a potential $80.1 million sale of suicide drone systems to Greece.

In a statement, the U.S. State Department said that it has approved the export of Switchblade 300 Block 20 air-launched munitions to Greece.

The Switchblade 300 Block 20 is an upgraded version of the lightweight cruise munition produced by AeroVironment and designed to carry out precision strikes against targets beyond direct line of sight, with improvements in range and reconnaissance and surveillance capabilities compared to previous versions.
