Sanaa Foreign Ministry accuses Saudi Arabia of ending de-escalation following airport strike, vows response
SANAA, July 13 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Sanaa announced on Monday that a Saudi airstrike targeting Sanaa International Airport has effectively ended the de-escalation period and the ceasefire, signaling a resumption of hostilities.
The ministry stated that “Saudi Arabia bears full responsibility for the attack and its subsequent consequences.”
According to the official Saba News Agency in Sanaa, the ministry issued a statement on Monday evening alleging that throughout the declared de-escalation period, Saudi Arabia had maintained a comprehensive economic blockade and tightened restrictions on the Yemeni population.
The statement concluded by declaring the start of a new phase aimed at securing what it described as “full rights,” warning that Saudi Arabia would face severe strategic and economic repercussions as a result of the escalation.
